Let’s talk about the gifted writer who chose to make comics about Maxine instead of continuing with her book of comics. American artist John Wagner presents her artistic talents to the public with this comic series. In 1986, he made his debut. He didn’t start making comics immediately away. Instead, he started out by making greeting cards.

Artist John Wagner developed this web comic series for Hallmark’s Shoe Box Greetings division. He finds inspiration in the strong personalities of his own family members. He made comics with a Maxine topic.

She’s an elderly woman who finds herself making foolish choices as she gets older. Essentially, he shows Maxine a series of opening strips that showcase her regular activities.
