I was having a lot of difficulty at university until, at age 26, I learned I had ADHD after visiting a psychologist. Suddenly, everything made sense. I kind of slipped into a dark hole after graduating due to exhaustion, sadness, and anxiety. I started making humorous comics as a coping mechanism for my position and to perhaps help others feel less alone.
I suddenly had a lot of free time and was at home a lot. In a strange way, I’m grateful to be in this predicament because it provided the basis for my comics’ inspiration. If not, I don’t think I would have ever started drawing comics.
