After three years of dating, the OP adopted pets to aid in their mental health issues. They started talking about getting married a year ago, and before they married this year, OP kept asking their partner if they were okay with them keeping the kitties. Now that his family is visiting, his father is insisting that OP get rid of the cats because of allergies.
