10 Grandma Kitchen Comics Full of Love, Butter and Zero Measurements

10 Grandma Kitchen Comics Full of Love, Butter and Zero Measurements

Grandma’s kitchen runs on three things: love, butter and absolutely no written recipes. Ask her how much flour goes in and she’ll say ‘enough.’ These comics celebrate the most delicious (and slightly chaotic) room in the house.

Scroll down for all 10 original comics, and don’t forget to share your favorite with the grandma in your life!

1. Secret recipe

How much salt? Until your ancestors whisper 'that's enough.'

Measuring cups are just decorations in Grandma’s kitchen.

2. Just a snack

You look thin. Sit down. I made you a snack. It's a four-course meal.

Nobody leaves Grandma’s house hungry. Nobody leaves at all, actually.

3. Ingredient #1

My recipe has a secret ingredient. It's butter. It's always butter.

When in doubt, add more. When not in doubt, also add more.

4. Dinner is ready

I don't use a timer. I use the smoke alarm as a gentle reminder.

Some call it burnt. Grandma calls it extra crispy.

5. Fridge: full

Leftovers? In this house we call them 'tomorrow's love.'

And yes, they all come in reused butter tubs.

6. Calories don’t count

Diet food is just regular food that's sad about something.

A philosophy the whole family has happily adopted.

7. Plate return policy

Take some cookies home. Take the plate too. Actually, bring the plate back.

Every grandchild knows the plate must always come home.

8. Experienced chef

I've been cooking for fifty years. The fire department knows me by name. We're friends.

She brings them muffins every holiday, of course.

9. Mystery soup

The secret to my soup? Love, patience and whatever was left in the fridge.

It’s different every time and somehow perfect every time.

10. Very specific

Want my recipe? Sure. Add a little of this, a pinch of that, and cook it until it's done.

And that’s the closest anyone has ever gotten to the real thing.

Grandma’s cooking can’t be copied, only remembered. Share these comics with the family member who still dreams about her Sunday dinners.
