The shelter had a list of toys that the dogs could choose from, and they could pick up to three toys. The list included items like chew toys, stuffed animals, and balls. Many of the dogs picked out at least two items to take home with them after some careful consideration.
Some of the pups even took a moment before making their final decision on what toy they wanted to take home with them for Christmas! A shelter in the U.S. decided to let dogs pick their own Christmas gifts for the first time ever this year, and it has been a hit with both dogs and humans a like.

The dogs were allowed to choose from all of the toys and treats that were available, and they picked out their favorite ones. In the end, they each received one toy and one treat as a gift from Santa Paws.
